Kish is one of the most important tourist centers of Iran with the highest per capita of hotel accommodations. Investment in the private sector has developed over 40 commercial centers and complexes, including several five star hotels. Thus, itís not surprising that Kish Island attracts visitors from all over the Middle East and, increasingly nowadays, from other countries around the world. An increasing number of Iranians have also migrated to Kish to work or invest in the islandís economy. In fact, here is the first Free Trade Zone established in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In addition to snorkeling in waters teeming with many of the worldís species of reef fish, visitors can tour the ancient town of Harireh, take a bicycle ride along a cycle track that stretches all around the island, and view water reservoirs which have provided the means to irrigate Kish Islandís parks and green areas since thousands of years.
